Ania and Michał Krajewski run a dairy farm. Partnership, proper division of responsibilities and joint hard work are the key to success for the farmers from Krajewo Biały in the Zambrów district, Podlaskie voivodeship.
We present the third episode in the series Close to the Breeder. Piotr Szybiński, head of the cattle department at Agrocentrum Group, together with Tomasz Kaliszewski, a nutrition advisor, visited breeders in the Podlasie region.
The beginnings of dairy farming
We present the third episode in the series Close to the Breeder. Piotr Szybiński, head of the cattle department at Agrocentrum Group, together with Tomasz Kaliszewski, a nutrition advisor, visited breeders in the Podlasie region.aMichał took over his parents’ farm in 2006. The then young farmer decided to change his production profile to dairy cattle, as his parents had previously been involved in sheep farming. After all, he was starting from scratch. Anna came to his aid. In 2013, the young couple got married and the farm spread its wings. The stock of dairy cattle increased and milk production grew. In 2018, a free-stall barn was put into operation, which housed 100 milking cows. The facility was equipped with a 2×9 fishbone milking parlor, feed stations, and robots are also in operation to pick up and clean the grates.
The productivity of the herd oscillates around 10,000 kg of milk, with parameters: protein – 3.6%, fat -4.1%.
The Krajewski family farms around 60 ha. The farm’s sowing structure is spread roughly 50/50 between grassland and maize. Concentrated feed is purchased.
Women in agriculture
Women play an important role in the Krajewski family, after all, they dominate the family home. Ania and Michał have three daughters: Zosia, Alicja and Apolonia. The girls are 8, 6 and 2.5 years old.
„OUR THREE DAUGHTERS ARE OUR PRIDE. WE HOPE THEY WILL CONTINUE OUR WORK.” – ANIA SPEAKS

Our eldest daughter is happy to help on the farm, e.g. she weans the calves. The girls also accompany their dad in the field work, harvesting grass or corn together.
Anna comes from a family with a tradition of dairy farming. She was not afraid of agricultural work. Despite her petite stature, she copes well with the farm work. She rears the calves, helps with milking and keeps the farm records. There is plenty to do!
Feeding solutions for dairy cows
Our advisors support cattle farmers on a daily basis – TOGETHER we work to optimise production costs. We recommend the best feeding solutions tailored to the needs and possibilities of our customers.

Behind the high yields are perfectly composed feed rations. The basis is high-quality roughage: haylage and maize silage in combination with wet pulp and wet brewers’ mash. The TMR ration is balanced with ensiled maize grain, cereal meal and protein components. In addition to basic minerals and vitamins in the lactation group, special attention is paid to cows being prepared for lactation. A specialised premix for dairy cows is used, VitAgro Preparation, which contains anionic salts, so important during this period.
Farmers use a wide range of products for dairy cattle from the Agrocentrum range:
- Agro Delicia
- Agro Finezja
- VitAgro Preparation
- VitAgro Drying
- Smakuś TMR
The basic feed for dairy cows given at the feed station is a specialised Agro Finezja compound feed, which replaced Agro Perfect 19, says the farmer. With this change, we have increased the concentration of nutrients without increasing the amount of feed in the ration, which has resulted in a significant increase in milk parameters.
For dairy cows in the periparturient period until confirmed pregnancy, our top product – Agro Delicja mix – is used,” adds Tomasz Kaliszewski, who has been working with breeders for years. Calves, on the other hand, eagerly take the Smakuś TMR.
Agrocentrum nutrition service
The cattle breeders are open to cooperation and are happy to receive nutritional advice. They take part in joint experiments. A regular feeding service for dairy cattle helps optimise production costs. Tomasz Kaliszewski performs on-farm analyses on feed and faecal screens, urine pH control and roughage analyses as required.

Farming is our passion
Anne and Michael complement each other perfectly and working together on the farm gives them a lot of satisfaction.
“FARMING IS OUR PASSION, THANKS TO THE HELP OF THE AGRO-CENTRE AND THE MODERN TECHNOLOGIES WE HAVE INTRODUCED ON OUR FARM, WE HAVE TIME FOR OUR FAMILY AND CHILDREN”. – UNDERLINES ANIA
Ania and Michal Krajewski’s plans for the future include working on increasing productivity and continuing to look after the welfare of the herd. In implementing their production plans, the breeders can count on the support of our advisors. We wish them good luck!
