Young dairy farmer from Mazovia

The breeder is only 25 years old and has two years of experience in farming: profile – dairy production. The breeder’s young age determines him to act and constantly develop dairy production.

We present the second episode in the series Close to the Breeder. Cuba was visited by Piotr Szybinski, director of Agrocentrum’s cattle department, and Lukasz Kolobuz, a nutrition advisor who works with the farm. The family of Mr. and Mrs. Magdzinski has been using Agrocentrum’s feeding solutions successfully for 13 years.

The young farmer took over the farm from his parents in 2020, aged just 23. At the time, the herd consisted of 90 milking cows with an average yield of 9,000 liters of milk. Jacob has taken a bold approach to dairy farming, gradually increasing the stocking rate of the core and junior herds. Currently, the herd has 140 cows, with a milk yield of 10,500 thousand liters of milk.

The modern barn is equipped with two milking robots in a slow system. Cows are milked three times a day. Capacity per day from a piece – 33l/day.

Thanks to excellent herd management, automation of the milk production process and a modern machinery fleet, all the work is done by just two people. The farm’s acreage is 120 hectares of farmland, of which 68 is corn and the rest is grassland. The dairy farmer relies on the production of high-quality roughage, which is a key component of the feed ration.

Agrocentrum’s advisory support in milk production
